walk home from the party drunk on bacardi

photos thanks to stevie, who sent them to me via snailmail. i'm still really fur-crazed, forgive me.

cloud animals are quite funny. you don't really see them clearly at first, and they're hazy and blurred. blobs of stratocumulus and cumulus, that's all. then they separate and materialize into into cotton candy bunny rabbits and dinosaurs. a sleepy smile melts on your face, as you are satiated by the mindless feeling. but you won't forget this, it's like a tiny barnacle, clinging to your brain. later on, as you further acquaint yourself with this brain roommate, the meaning becomes less superficial. it's the same with quotes. quotes, essentially, are glorified words. someone simply spoke them one day, and for whatever reason, those words were handpicked to become memorable. printed on newspapers and magazines, scrawled on bathroom walls, typed on the internet, and written on the backs of notebooks. some will perceive the words as meaningless, just as some consider clouds as celestial precipitation sponges. others interpret clouds as foggy bushes obscuring creatures from plain sight, just as others analyze quotes as though they were the words of the gods.

'all human beings are also dream beings. dreaming ties all mankind together' - jack kerouac

'anger is contagious' - sandra cisneros

'si tu pisses partout, tu n'est pas chanel du tout' - a sign in karl lagerfeld's bathroom

'childhood is a strange country. it’s a place you come from or go to – at least in your mind. for me it has an endless, spellbound something in it that feels remote. it’s like a little sealed-vault country of cake breath and grass stains where what you do instead of work is spin until you’re dizzy' - lyall bush

'heaven is totally overrated. it seems boring. clouds, listening to people play the harp. it should be somewhere you can’t wait to go, like a luxury hotel. maybe blue skies and soft music were enough to keep people in line in the 17th century, but heaven has to step it up a bit. they’re basically getting by because they only have to be better than hell.' - joel stein

'i tell all the guys that i meet that my roommate has an std. that way they'll go for me instead of her' - postsecret

'it is your mind that creates this world' - buddha

and a bonus quote, author-free, juste pour vous...
'i don't do fashion, i am fashion' - so, who said it ? i'm sure i don't even need to ask all you fashionphiles, but i will neverthless. vous devriez le savoir par coeur, non ?

Oh I love postsecret, it's so amazing that people will confess lots of unusual stuff on the interent, usually accompanied by a cool postcard. Also, I like your hair(is that you?)on the 2nd picture down, also although this is probabaly bad to say, I like the fur.

what a lovely post! i love your thoughts about clouds and quotes... i do love quotes myself, as i love clouds. even if they are just glorified words. *sigh* they are just so interesting.

and your pick of quotes is inspired! i love it! the one from lagerfeld always makes me laugh every time i read it. and kerouac's words are just amazing. great choices.

and the quote you ended with is one of my absolute favourites, that completely sums up the woman, don't you think?
