when cody ross contacted zoë and i a while ago, i was shocked that a designer (whose work has graced the pages of bazaar, nylon, and the like) was such an avid reader of our blog, and that he was so down to earth despite his profession.
naturally, i had to look into the new york based designer's aptly named line: priestess nyc.
naturally, i had to look into the new york based designer's aptly named line: priestess nyc.
his pieces are complementary to the female body, with structured jackets, sensual fabrics, and occasional quirky patterns. needless to say, i was impressed.
above, a draped silk dress reminiscent of lanvin f/w 08.
with high profile clients such as tyra banks and bjork, he has inarguably lived up to his label's namesake.
cody ross is fabulous living proof that you don't have to be cutthroat to produce desirable apparel, and after all, you do catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
or with emails.

how awesome.
can't say I've ever heard of him, but I might just have to look him up now.
Dragonette headline? Love it.
That's so ridiculously cool that a designer follows your blog. I'd be well chuffed!
My butterfly isn't very big. It's probably about an inch and half all round, maybe less. It should have only taken about 15 mins but I was in so much pain ('cos it's right on the bone) and kept moving that it took almost an hour.
oh that's awful exciting! and thanks for linking me!
Love the Lanvin dress!
